Walking Rugby

By Emma Bottomley

For anyone over the age of 40....and maybe our local MP too!

Tomorrow will see ERFC once again push boundaries that prevent anyone being able to take part in our favourite sport.

Walking Rugby - What is it?
It is intended to be a simple version of Rugby suitable for ex-players, injured
players and non-players of all ages, abilities and gender who enjoy an active and physical,
above all, competitive passing game using a rugby ball. Most players will probably be
approaching or past retirement age and no longer able or prepared to indulge in full-on
rugby as played by those younger.

Who, Where and When?
Alan Clark and Andy Howard will take the lead on this free session, with the assistance of Gary Barrett as our referee and a mystery guest coach will help to give us a warm up before the game. To get involved please come along to The Hub at 12.15 tomorrow where we will go through the rules.

What else is on?
Our Senior 1XV are also taking on the mighty London Exiles tomorrow with the 2XV facing Bognor and it all coinsides with a visit from our local MP Mims Davies. As usual the bar will be open with drinks and snacks plus a small selection of rolls so come down and see Eastleigh RFC take on a new challenge.
