As most of you already know, the Worsdell family have been long term supporters of London Wasps. Over the last couple of years, I have built up a strong relationship with several members of the community team and arranged trips to see Wasps play as well as CoacHclass activities for some of the Mini/Midi squads.
Following a meeting at London Wasps on Tuesday 26th October, I am delighted to confirm that Eastleigh RFC have become an official partner of London Wasps RFC.

This initiative will provide many benefits to our growing club;

• Use of the London Wasps Community Partnership Logo (subject to approval)
• Discounted tickets for all ‘home’ games (including Twickenham ‘home’ fixtures)
• Discounted prices for CoacHclass activities (bespoke and match day)
• CPD events for Coaches with access to level 3 and 4 qualified community coaches
• The opportunity to run our own CoacHclass events
• Raffle prizes in the form of tickets, signed balls and shirts

Becoming a community partner of London Wasps will enable us to continue to grow and consolidate. London Wasps provide some of the best role models in rugby, from players, coaches through to support staff. This initiative will enthuse, motivate and inspire players of all ages and abilities to know that they are part of the Wasps family. I’m sure that many players will be both proud and excited by the prospect of wearing the community partner logo on their shirts!
It will also allow London Wasps to be more accessible to our members through the community events and discounted ticket prices. I am particularly keen to organise some CPD activities for our coaches and hope to be able to organise a 1 day CoacHclass event to be held at Eastleigh RFC.
In the meantime, I am hoping to be able to send some Mini/Midi teams up to Adams Park to take part in the Match day CoacHclass activities. Dates are available from the London Wasps website http://www.wasps.co.uk/MatchdayCoacHclass.ink
I will also be arranging to purchase community tickets for all club members, friends and families to the St George’s Day game to be held at Twickenham on Saturday 23rd April 2011. More details to follow soon, but please feel free to contact me if you would like tickets.

It is with great sadness I have to announce the loss of Andy Kidd who passed away on Sunday.
Andy played a major part in the running of the Junior section of Eastleigh RFC sitting on the comittee and acting as club referee and an advisor to all.
Andy recently took up the post of Vice Chairman of Hampshire RFU.
Andy will be missed by all that knew him and our thoughts go out to Tracy and the family at this sad time.
